Description of Change: A filter attachment is now used in some fast fill service center groups to decrease contamination. The filter attachment will decrease contaminants from air circulating through the fuel.
Adaptable To: The following parts are effective with 784B (5RK27) Tractors; 785B (6HK861), 789B (7EK618) and 793C (4AR200) Off-Highway Trucks and are adaptable to 785 (8GB333-UP), 789 (9ZC), 793 (3SJ) and 793B (1HL) Off-Highway Trucks.
Installation Procedure
1. Use Dimension A, 20 ± 3 mm (0.8 ± 0.12 in) and Dimension B, 537 ± 3 mm (21.2 ± .12 in) to determine proper weld location of 2M-6025 Plate (11). Refer to Illustration 2.
2. Remove paint and surface irregularities from frame assembly at weld location of 2M-6025 Plate.
3. Weld (W1) 2M-6025 Plate onto frame assembly with 1.5 mm square groove over 6 mm fillet weld, both sides.
4. Install 9M-0164 Clamp (4), 8C-3364 Elbow (6), 7M-8485 Seal (7) and 105-0381 Base (9) to 136-6202 Cleaner Assembly (5).
5. Install 136-6202 Cleaner Assembly to 2M-6025 Plate (11) with two 8T-4896 Washers (1) and two 8T-9101 Bolts (8).
6. If applicable, replace former 6G-7181 Plate with 154-8455 Plate (10). Use dimension C, 12.5 ± 1.5 mm (0.49 ± 0.060 in); (W2) 3 mm fillet all around; (W3) 5 mm fillet, 25 mm - 125 mm length, 2 angles to determine proper weld location of 154-8455 plate.
7. Install 6V-8400 Seal (3) and 145-2817 Hose Assembly (2).
8. Remove paint and surface irregularities from work area.
9. Prime and paint work area.
