The 098-5847 Handler Retainer Bracket is now available. The 098-5847 Retainer Bracket is to be welded to 120-8893 and 120-8894 Outer Sideplates of 098-5853 Quick Hitch Group as shown in the following instructions and illustrations.

1. Remove the damaged 098-5847 Handle Retaining Bracket (1) from the 120-8894 Right Hand Outer Sideplate (2).

2. Grind the area smooth and clean the area from paint, grease, and oil, where the handle retaining bracket (1) was removed from the outer sideplate (2).

3. Position 098-5853 Quick Hitch Group onto right hand outer sideplate (2) as shown in Illustration 2 with the 098-5850 Spring Retainer Handle (3) towards the front of the machine. Clamp or tack weld the handle retaining bracket (1) onto the right hand outer sideplate (2).

4. Weld the handle retainer bracket (1) onto the right hand outer sideplate (2) using one of the following:

* Arc Welding

BS639: 1976 E5153 B12 (H) - COSA

AWS A5: 1E7018 - NACD

1/4" Diamteter Rod Part No. 1U-5236

7/32" Diameter Rod Part No. 1U-5235

* MIG Welding Wire

BS2901 Part 1 1983 A18 - COSA

AWS ER70S-6 - NACD

5. Repeat steps 1 through 4 to repair 098-5847 Handle Retainer Bracket on 120-8893 Left Hand Outer Sideplate of the coupler assembly.
