The flexible coupling has a longer service life.

Adaptable To: The adjustable mounting arrangement and flexible coupling is adaptable to the above machines.

Installation Procedure

------ WARNING! ------

Wear proper eye and body protection when working around hydraulic lines or hoses. At operating temperature the implement hydraulic oil is hot and under pressure. Hot oil can cause burns.

-------WARNING!-------

1. Remove the hydraulic pump.

2. Remove and discard pump mounting bracket (4), engine mounting brackets (3), coupling (2), and adapter (1). Retain the bracket mounting hardware and engine mounts (5).

3. Install 8I-5474 Engine Mounting Bracket (6) and 8I-5475 Engine Mounting Bracket (7) to the engine block using the original hardware.

NOTE: 5P-3413 Pipe Sealant must be used on the threads when installing the original hardware.

Make sure the 8I-5474 and 8I-5475 Engine Mounting Brackets are level and torque the hardware and mounts to 70 N·m (50 lb ft). Attach the 8I-5474 and 8I-5475 Engine Mounting Brackets to the frame using the original hardware and mounts. Torque to 90 N·m (65 lb ft).

4. Install the 8I-6621 or 8I-5890 Adapter (8) to the engine pulley with 8T-6868 Bolts (9) torqued to 70 N·m (50 lb ft).

5. Install the 8I-5889 Coupling (10) with 8I-4957 Screws (11). Torque to 14 N·m (10 lb ft).

6. Install the 8I-5888 Hub (12) into 8I-5889 Coupling.

7. Install the 8I-5470 Pump Mounting Bracket (14) using 8T-5868 Bolts (13), 609081?? Washers (15), 6S-6251 Mounts (16), 8T-4223 Washers (19), and 8T-4244 Nuts (20).

8. Use 8I-5478 Shims (17), 8I-5479 Shims (18), and 8I-5480 Shims (19) as required so the hydraulic pump can be installed with the pump shaft engaged into the 8I-5888 Hub (12). The 8I-5889 Coupling (10) must not be distorted. When Aligned, torque the original mounting bracket hardware to 90 N·m (65 lb ft).

9. Torque the pump mounting hardware to 70 N·m (50 lb ft) and torque the 8I-4957 Screw (11) in the 8I-5888 Hub (12) to 83 N·m (62 lb ft).
