New Clamp Assemblies Used In Air Lines Groups {1071}

Usage:

784B (5RK) Off-Highway Tractors;
785B (6HK),
789B (7EK) Off-Highway Trucks

Description of Change: New clamp assemblies are used in the air lines groups on these machines. The new clamps are more robust than the former clamps. This will help prevent air leaks.

Adaptable To: Illustration 1 and Chart A identify the new clamp assemblies in the 6I-2971 Air Lines Group. Illustration 2 and Chart B identify the new clamp assemblies in the 2W-3697 Air Lines Group. The clamp assemblies are effective with 784B (5RK26) Off-Highway Tractors and 785B (6HK873) and 789B (7EK674) Off-Highway Trucks. The new clamp assemblies are adaptable as direct replacements for the former clamps in the 6I-2971 and 2W-3697 Air Lines Groups on earlier machines.

Tighten all new clamp assemblies to a torque of 13 ± 4 N·m (10 ± 3 lb ft).
