Description of Change: The dual horsepower solenoid has been improved to prevent electrical shorts between the coils and the housing.
Adaptable To: The 3E-6424 Solenoid Assembly is improved beginning with date code 21-T (21=week of the year, T=1997). The improved solenoid is a direct replacement on all Caterpillar products using the 3E-6424 Solenoid Assembly.
