Modification to Engine Shut Down Harness Assembly Reduces 793B Engine Removal And Installation Assembly Time{1408}

Description of Change: Modification of engine shut down harness improves engine removal and installation.

Adaptable To: The 115-6478 Wiring Group (not serviced), with the engine shut down harness change, was effective with 793B (1HL465). This change is adaptable to all earlier machines.

Modification Of Engine Shut Down Harness

1. Weld 8G-0452 Lug using a 3.0 mm (.118 in) fillet weld and the dimensions in Illustration 2.

2. Cut the three wire 7I-4822 Engine Shut Down Harness (1) approximately 305 ± 51 mm (12.00 ± 2.00 in) from 7X-7963 Boss (not serviced) located directly in front of left front engine mount.

3. Install (3 pin) 102-8808 Connector Kit to the cut ends of 7I-4822 Engine Shut Down Harness (1).

4. Connect the harness.

5. Clip the harness to the front engine mount with 115-3069 Clip Assembly (2) with one 5S-7379 Bolt (2), one existing 8T-4121 Washer (2), and one 3S-2093 Cable Strap (2) (existing hardware).
