New Bevel Gear Set For Telehandler Front And Rear Differential Groups Improves Service Life {3256}

Description of Change: The 8I-4299 Bevel Gear Set for the front and rear axles has been improved.

Adaptable To:

The effected axle group numbers are: 8I-3225; 8I-3226;and 8I-3228. The improved gear set is a direct replacement for the former parts.

The part number for the improved 8I-4299 Bevel Gear Set remains unchanged, however, the tooth pattern is different. The new bevel gear set can be identified by inspecting the bevel gear:

former bevel gear 31 teeth

pinion gear 7 teeth

improved bevel gear 40 teeth

pinion gear 9

NOTE: 8I-4299 Bevel Gear Set must be replaced as a set, both the wheel gear and the pinion gear must be replaced.

NOTE: The axle serial numbers are stamped on the axle. When checking axle serial numbers, prefix letters must be included.
