Guards Fitted To The Drive Axle Groups To Protect The Hydraulic Brake Fittings From Rock Damage {4257,3278}

D350E (9LR) Articulated Trucks

Guards have been fitted to the 129-0383 Front Axle Group, 129-0384 Center Axle Group and 129-0385 Rear Axle Groups to prevent damage to the hydraulic brake fittings. The guards have been used since first production but are not shown in the Parts Manuals.

The locations of the guards and related bolts and spacers are shown in the illustrations.

When installing the guards, spacers and bolts, tighten the bolts (3) to 200 ± 20 N·m (150 ± 15 lb ft) plus an additional 60 ± 5 degree turn.
