Usage:
1. Drain the coolant. See the Maintenance Guide. The capacity of the cooling systme is 106 liter (28 U.S. gal.)
2. Fasten a nylon strap and hoist to transmission oil cooler (2). The weight of the transmission oil cooler is 33.5 kg (74 lb.).
NOTE: It is not necessary to drain the oil from the transmission. A small amount of transmission oil will be released when the hoses are disconnected at the transmission oil cooler.
3. Mark the locations of hoses (3) and (6). Disconnect hoses (3) and (6) at transmission oil cooler (2).
4. Install protective covers in the openings to contain the transmission oil in the hoses and prevent the entry of dirt.
5. Disconnect coolant hose (7) at the transmission oil cooler.
6. Loosen the clamps on hoses (4) and (5), and move the hoses away from the transmission oil cooler.
7. Move hose (1) away from the transmission oil cooler.
8. Remove the four bolts that hold the oil cooler to the engine front support beam.
9. Carefully lower the transmission oil cooler to the ground.
NOTE: Carefully clean the tubes in the oil cooler with a 3.18 mm (.125 in.) rod before installation.
10. Install the transmission oil cooler in the reverse order of removal.
11. Remove the protective covers from hoses (3) and (6). Install new O-ring seals in hoses (3) and (6), and connect them to transmission oil cooler (2) in their original location.
12. Fill the cooling system to the correct level. See the Maintenance Guide.
13. Check the transmission oil level.
