SUPPLEMENT FOR 772B TRACTOR, 773B TRUCK & 775B QUARRY TRUCK- Caterpillar

NOTE: Put identification marks on all wires so they will not be mixed at assembly.

1. Disconnect wires (1) from the solenoid.

2. Disconnect wires (3) from the starter.

3. Disconnect wire (2) from the starter relay.

4. Disconnect wire (4) from the starter.

5. Fasten a hoist to the starter. Remove three bolts (5). Remove three bolts (5). Remove electric motor (6). The weight of the starter is 34 kg (75 lb).

Install Electric Starting Motor

1. Fasten a hoist to the electric starting motor. Put electric starting motor (1) in position on the flywheel housing. Install the bolts that hold it.

2. Connect wires (2) and (4) to the starter.

3. Connect wire (3) to the starter relay.

4. Connect wires (5) to the solenoid.
