Usage:
1. Disconnect electrical wires (2) at the terminals.
2. Remove two bolts (1) from the shutoff solenoid.
3. Remove the shutoff solenoid shaft from the fuel pump rack lever.
4. Remove the shutoff solenoid and the gasket.
5. Remove the plunger, shaft and spring as a unit from the solenoid.
6. Remove nut (4) and shaft (5) from plunger (3).
Install Fuel Shutoff Solenoid (Earlier)
1. Install nut (4) on shaft (5) and the shaft in plunger (3). Make an adjustment to the shaft until dimension (X) is 1.39 in. (35.3 mm). Dimension (X) is the distance between the nut and the end of the opening (slot) in the shaft.
2. Install the plunger and the shaft as a unit on the fuel pump rack lever in the fuel injection pump.
3. Install gasket (7), spring (2) and solenoid (1).
4. Install the two bolts that hold solenoid to the injection pump adapter (6).
5. Connect the wires of the shutoff solenoid to the terminals.
