Rework Procedure
The HC contactor supplier part number, LC1D18, is indicated on the upper left corner of the contactor face. See Illustration 1.
Illustration 1
Remove the HC contactor from the din rail to view the coil voltage indicator. See Illustration 2.
Illustration 2
If the voltage indicator reads "U7 240v 50/60hz" remount the HC contactor to the din rail. No additional work is necessary.
If the voltage indicator reads "V7 400v 50/60hz" the HC contactor coil must be replaced to allow proper operation at 240v. Order replacement coil 280-9010. Carefully unsnap the contactor housing, remove the existing coil from the coil compartment, and install the new coil in the coil compartment. The compartment is designed to allow coil installation in one direction only. Do not force the coil into the compartment. It should slip easily and freely into the compartment. Reassemble the contactor by snapping together the two housing halves. See Illustration 3.
