Usage:
Introduction
The new 9T4247 Steering Metering Pump Group is the service replacement for the former 5T4367 Steering Metering Pump Group. Additional parts must be installed to interface between the new pump and existing lines on early production 785 OHT (8GB1-160).

Removal of 5T4367 Steering Metering Pump Group
1. Remove 6G8532 Guard Assembly (1) from underneath the operator's platform. Disconnect 6G8506, 6G8507, 6G8508 and 6G8509 Tube Assemblies at their junction with 5T4764, 5T4765, 5T4769 and 5T4773 Hose Assemblies respectively.
2. Remove ten 5M3062 Bolts and 5P1075 Washers (2), and remove 5T0555 Plate Assembly (3) from the front of the operator's cab to gain access to the steering metering pump compartment.
3. Disconnect and remove all the following parts from the pump: 6G8506, 6G8507, 6G8508 and 6G8509 Tube Assemblies; 3D8196 and 3R6790 Connectors; 088381 and 684174 Elbows, and two each 2M9780 and 3D2824 Seals.
4. Remove the four tube assemblies from the pump compartment.
5. Remove 354285 Pin (4) from 8W2893 Joint (5). Remove four 0L1351 Bolts and 9L9132 Washers (6). Remove 5T0487 Bracket Assembly and the pump from the compartment.
6. Remove all of the following parts from the steering hydraulic system: 5T4773 Hose Assembly (7); 5T4764 Hose Assembly (8); 5T4765 Hose Assembly (9); 5T4769 Hose Assembly (10); 307935 Connector and 7M8485 Seal (11); 9J7852 Valve Group and 7M8485 Seal (12); two 2R6276 Connectors and two 3D2824 Seals (13).
Installation of 9T4247 Steering Metering Pump Group
1. Install 8W3729 Column Assembly (1) with four 0S0509 Bolts and 5M2894 Washers on the 9T4247 Pump Group (2). Install 8W4328 Plate (3) on the pump with three 0S1621 Bolts and 5P8245 Washers. Install 8W4330 Bracket Assembly (4) on the plate with four each 9D7924 Mountings, 0S1590 Bolts and 6N8863 Washers.
2. Install 354285 Pin into 8W2893 Joint (5). Install 8W4330 Bracket Assembly (6) (with the pump group attached) with four 0L1351 Bolts and 9L9132 Washers (7).
3. Assemble the following parts to the pump; 8W4307 Tube Assembly, 5K9090 Seal, 6V9008 Elbow and 7M8485 Seal (8); 8W4309 Tube Assembly, 5K9090 Seal, 6V8635 Connector and 7M8485 Seal (9), 8W4308 Tube Assembly, 6V9746 Seal, 6V8716 Connector and 7M8485 Seal (10); and 8W4306 Tube Assembly, 6V9746 Seal, 6V9182 Elbow and 7M8485 Seal (11).
4. Install the following parts as shown, where the former parts of the steering hydraulic system were removed: 9T0360 Valve, 5P8924 Union, 6V9005 Elbow and three 7M8485 Seals (12); 6V8635 Connector and 7M8485 Seal (13); two 6V9007 Elbows and two 3D2824 Seals (14), 8W4317 Hose Assembly and two 5K9090 Seals (15); 8W4316 Hose Assembly and two 5K9090 Seals (16); two 8W4315 Hose Assemblies and four 6V9746 Seals (17). Connect the tube assemblies to their corresponding hose assemblies underneath the operator's platform. Install 6G8532 Guard Assembly.
