Usage:
Introduction
Because of variations in actuator mounting, lock pin orientation is very important for manual actuation of the Fire Suppression System. If the lock pin cannot be easily removed from the actuator, the suppression system might not be activated manually if the need arises.
When recharging or replacing an actuator, always orient the 7T8775 Lock Pin so that it can be easily removed from the actuator.

Installation
There are three different valve groups which are used in Caterpillar Fire Suppression Systems for Caterpillar equipment.
Each valve group will require a different orientation to the actuator solenoid, and may require different mounting brackets, depending on type of machine.
7T8619 Valve Group
Orientation of 7T8775 Lock Pin in 7T8619 Valve Group.
When mounting the 7T8619 Valve Group, locate the 7T8775 Lock Pin so it is easily removable. The actuator solenoid must be oriented 45° ± 30° to the axis of the lock pin.
7T8620 Valve Group
Orientation of 7T8775 Lock Pin in 7T8620 Valve Group. (A) Axis of Lock Pin Parallel to Axis of Switch.
When mounting the 7T8620 Valve Group, locate the 7T8775 Lock Pin so it is easily removable. The actuator pressure switch must be oriented parallel to the axis of the lock pin.
7T9995 Valve Group
Orientation of 7T8775 Lock Pin in 7T9995 Valve Group.
When mounting the 7T9995 Valve Group, locate the 7T8775 Lock Pin so it is easily removable. The actuator gage must be oriented 90° ± 10° to the axis of the lock pin.
If any installation reveals a problem in the removal of the lock pin, even while wearing gloves, remove the actuator from the machine, remove the lock pin and reorient it as necessary to improve the accessibility.
Reinstall the actuator on the machine, and recheck the access to the lock pin. After the actuator is satisfactorily mounted, connect the actuation line to the outlet port of the actuator.
Be sure to plug the pressure switch connector into the machine harness so that the diagnostic system will be operable. The 7T8619 Valve Group also requires that you connect the release solenoid connector into the machine harness.
Be sure that a 6T0005 Seal is in place to retain the lock pin once you have properly oriented and mounted it.
