NOTE: This Program can be administered either before or after a failure. In either case the decision whether to apply the Program is made by the dealer. When reporting the repair, use "PS8694" as the Part Number and "7755" as the Group Number. If administered before failure, use "56" as the Warranty Claim Description Code and use "T" as the SIMS Description Code. If administered after failure, use "96" as the Warranty Claim Description Code and use "Z" as the SIMS Description Code.

The 7X2563 Bolts which are used to hold the drum drive plate to the drum drive gearbox may come loose on certain CP563C and CS583C Vibratory Soil Compactors.

Action Required
1. Remove the drum from the machine.
2. Remove the drum drive gearbox and drum drive plate.
3. Remove the 10-7X2563 Bolts and 10-8T6430 Bolts. Reference the attached drawing identifying the bolt locations.
4. Thoroughly clean the mounting surfaces of the drum drive plate and mounting plate of any paint, rust or mill scale present.
5. Reinstall the drum drive plate, drum drive gearbox group and mounting plate. Bolts should be reinstalled with 9S3263 Threadlock and torqued to 570 ± 80 N·m (420 ± 60 lb ft). Bolt torque should be checked by retightening around the bolt pattern a minimum of two times.
6. Finish by reinstalling the drum.
NOTE: The drum gear reducer oil should be serviced at this time if it was not done at the initial 250 hours oil change interval as part of the normal maintenance for the machine.
