Description of Change: A new bevel gear and pinion assembly are now used in the differential and bevel gear groups for 772B Tractors and 773B Trucks. The new bevel gear and pinion make less noise during operation.
Adaptable To: The new 5T2715 Ring Gear and 5T6817 Pinion Assembly are a direct replacement for the former 3D9548 Ring Gear and 9D6142, 5T2720 and 5T6808 Pinion Assemblies on all earlier 772B Tractors and 773B Trucks.
The 5T2715 Ring Gear can be used with the former 9D6142 Pinion Assembly. If the new 5T6817 Pinion Assembly is used, a new 5T2715 Ring Gear must also be used. This is necessary to keep noise to a minimum and to give a longer service life.
