Bucket - Remove

Usage:

Removal Procedure

Start By:

a. Install the steering frame lock pin. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Steering Frame Lock Pin - Remove and Install" for the machine that is being serviced.

b. Release the pressure from the hydraulic system. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Hydraulic System Pressure - Release" for the machine that is being serviced.

1. Remove bolt (1), the nut and the washers from the tilt link pin assembly.

2. Use Toolin (A) to remove collets (2) from each side of the tilt link pin assembly.

3. Attach a hoist and a suitable lifting sling to support tilt link (3), as shown. Attach a hoist and a suitable lifting sling to tilt link pin (4). Remove the pin and the shim(s) (if equipped) from the tilt link. The weight of the pin is 24 kg (53 lb).

4. Move the end of tilt link (3) away from the bucket.

5. Attach a hoist and suitable lifting chains to bucket (5), as shown.

6. Remove bolt (6), the nut and the washers from each lower bucket pin assembly.

7. Use Tooling (A) to remove outside and inside collets (7) from each lower bucket pin assembly.

8. Remove pins (8) and the shim(s) (if equipped) from each lower bucket pin assembly.

9. Remove bucket (5) from the machine. The weight of the bucket is 3955 kg (8720 lb).
