Reference: Information Release REM86-24, "Remanufactured Heavy-Duty Starter and High-Amp Alternator Product Additions".

Heavy-duty 42MT starters and 80 and 105 amp alternators have been added to the Caterpillar Remanufactured Product Line.

Heavy-Duty 42MT Starters

Nine Heavy-Duty 42MT Remanufactured Starters have been added to the electrical product line. This tough new line of Caterpillar Remanufactured Starters delivers more dependable cranking power than any starter ever offered. With features like improved solenoid seals to keep dirt and moisture out, heavier connector straps to increase resistance to vibration, large brushes for increased cycle life and constant pressure brush springs for uniform brush tension, these units have what it takes to get your customer's engines started everytime. Reliable starters mean less downtime and greater productivity, the differences that have always made genuine Caterpillar Parts the best value.

80/105 Amp Alternators

One 80 amp alternator and one 105 amp alternator have been added to the Caterpillar Remanufactured Electrical Product Line. These product additions provide the basis to significantly increase sales to engine applications where users have a preference for the higher amperage ratings. The 80 amp alternator provides coverage for both 65 and 80 amp applications and the 105 amp alternator for 90 and 105 amp applications. New part numbers are not serviced for either the 80 or 105 amp alternators.
