Horizontally Mounted Jacket Water Heater Now Used

Usage:


3208 Generator Set (29A, 30A) and Industrial (90N, 3Z) Engines

Description of Change: A new, horizontally mounted jacket water heater is used on the above engines. The new jacket water heater is both more effective in heating the engine and also offers improved thermostat service life over the former jacket water heater. The new jacket water heater can be used with both 120 and 240 volt supplies.

Adaptable To: The new 7C7710 Jacket Water Heater is a direct replacement for the former 5N5740 Electric Water Heater when used with the 7C7706 Jacket Water Heater Mounting Group. The new 7C7706 Jacket Water Heater Mounting Group is a direct replacement for the former 4W2673 Jacket Water Mounting Group. Both the new jacket water heater and jacket water heater mounting group are now in effect. The new jacket water heater can be retrofitted to any earlier 3208 Engine listed above when installed with the 7C7706 Jacket Water Mounting Group. Refer to Illustrations 1, 2 and 3 and the chart for installation information. Refer to Illustrations 4 and 5 for electrical supply information.
