7271 Marine Transmissions
Description of Change: An input shaft assembly is now available for 7271 Marine Transmissions. This shaft assembly is machined after it is assembled to better control the runout on the flange face. For alignment purposes, a "V" mark is put on both the shaft and the flange.
Formerly, there was more runout when the shaft was assembled to the flange. This made it more difficult to align the engine and the transmission.
Adaptable As: The new 7T8467 Input Shaft Assembly is available for parts service. The 6T7889 Shaft and 9G7103 Flange are still available separately.
