New service information is available for the Altronic ignition on the above engines. "Supplement For G379, G398 And G399 Engines, For Altronic Ignition System", Form SENR2983 is available for use when service work is needed on those engines in the serial number ranges shown above. This Supplement is to be used in addition to the Service Manual, Form REG01228, for G379, G398 and G399 Engines.
This supplement has specifications, system operation, testing and adjusting, troubleshooting and disassembly and assembly information on the Altronic ignition system.
NOTE: This Supplement can be used as a reference for G342 Natural Gas Engines. Additional information for these engines will be available at a later date.
