Severe Service Application
恶劣作业是指发动机的应用超出这台发动机发布的现行标准。 Caterpillar 保持以下发动机参数的标准：
- 功率范围、转速范围和油耗等性能指标
- 燃油质量
- 工作海拔高度
- 保养周期
- 机油选择和保养
- 冷却液类型和保养
- 环境质量
- 安裝
- 发动机内的油液温度

恶劣作业运行可能加速部件磨损。 在恶劣作业条件下运行的发动机可能需要更为频繁的保养周期，以便确保最大限度的可靠性和保持发动机的全额使用寿命。
由于应用不同，不可能把所有可能导致严重维修作业的因素确定下来。 请咨询您的 Cat 代理商，获得有关您的发动机的具有针对性的保养计划。
工作环境、不适当的操作程序和不正确的保养程序都可能导致恶劣作业运行。
环境温度 - 发动机可能在极冷或极热环境下长时间运行。 如果发动机在非常寒冷的温度下频繁起动和停机，气门部件可能因积碳而损坏。 极热的进气会降低发动机性能。
空气质量 - 发动机可能会长时间曝露于肮脏或多尘环境，除非设备得到定期清洁。 泥浆、污垢和灰尘可能包裹部件。 保养可能非常困难。 堆积物可能含有腐蚀性化学品。
沉积 - 化合物、元素、腐蚀性化学制品和盐可能会损坏某些部件。
海拔高度 - 发动机在超过为其应用而预先设定的海拔高度运行时可能会出现问题。 应该进行必要的调整。
- 长时间在低怠速运行
- 频繁热停机
- 1 小时内超过 10 次发动机起动的频繁停止/起动操作
- 过负荷运行
- 过速运行

- 采用不符合专门出版物, SEBU6250, "Caterpillar 机器油液建议", "蒸馏柴油规定的蒸馏柴油标准的燃油"运行
- 采用混有 20% 以上生物柴油的蒸馏燃油运行
- 延长保养周期
- 不使用推荐的燃油、润滑剂和冷却液/防冻液
