Installation Procedure


NOTICE

Keep all parts clean from contaminants.

Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.

  1. Use a suitable lifting device to install exhaust manifold (15) on the engine. Ensure that the gaskets are in the proper position.

    The weight of exhaust manifold (15) on the G3508 Engine is approximately 99 kg (220 lb).

    The weight of exhaust manifold (15) on the G3516 Engine is approximately 287 kg (635 lb).

    The weight of exhaust manifold (15) on the G3520 Engine is approximately 362 kg (800 lb).

  2. Install bolts (13) and (14).

  3. Install bolts (12).

  4. Install line assembly fittings (11) and the line assemblies.

  5. Install sensor (10).

  6. install bolt (8). Attach harness assembly (9).

  7. Install tube assembly (7) and bolts (4).

  8. Install bellows (5) and bolts (6).

  9. Install sensor (3).

  10. Install clamp (2) and connect tube (1) to the gas pressure regulator.

  11. Repeat this process for the other side.

  12. Fill the coolant. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Cooling System Coolant (ELC) - Change" for the correct filling procedure.

  13. Turn on the gas supply.

End By:

  1. Install the aftercooler.

  2. Install the turbochargers.
