Description Of Change: The new oil pressure sensor is now used on the Genset applications that are listed above. The new pressure sensor has an operating range between 0 to 5 bar (0 to 72.5 psi), thus reading the output of the sensor becomes smooth and eliminating the fluctuation on the control panel (EMCP 4).
Adaptable To: The new oil pressure sensor part number for the former part number is listed in Table 1.

Qty | New Part Number | Former Part Number | Description |
---|---|---|---|
1 | 380-1882 | 320-3064 | Pressure Sensor Gp |
1 | 4J-5309 | - | O-Ring Seal |
Installation Instruction
- Isolate the genset and remove the existing oil pressure sensor.
- Assemble 4J-5309 O-Ring Seal to 380-1882 Pressure Sensor Gp.
- Assemble the oil pressure sensor to the engine block and tighten to
10 N·m (7 lb ft) . - Adjust EMCP control panel settings as detailed below:
- Connect Cat Electronic Technician (ET) to the EMCP.
- From the menu bar select "Service" > "Configuration".
- Within the Configuration Select: "Analog Input".
- Change the analog input 1 configurable parameter "Maximum Data Range" in the EMCP to "600.000".
The new sensor is adaptable to and effective with the serial numbers that are listed in Table 2.
