New Oil Pressure Sensor Is Now Used on Certain GEN SETCat Products {1924, 4490}

Generator Set: C2.2 GEN SET (S/N: GBE1-UP); C4.4 DE110E2 (S/N: ECL1-UP); C4.4 GEN SET (S/N: LC41-UP; D4B1-UP; GLD1-UP; GLE1-UP; MZT1-UP); C6.6 GEN SET (S/N: N6D1-UP; MRW1-UP); C7.1 DE200E0/DE (S/N: GTP1-UP); C7.1 GEN SET (S/N: MRP1-UP)

Description Of Change: The new oil pressure sensor is now used on the Genset applications that are listed above. The new pressure sensor has an operating range between 0 to 5 bar (0 to 72.5 psi), thus reading the output of the sensor becomes smooth and eliminating the fluctuation on the control panel (EMCP 4).

Adaptable To: The new oil pressure sensor part number for the former part number is listed in Table 1.

Installation Instruction

Isolate the genset and remove the existing oil pressure sensor.
Assemble 4J-5309 O-Ring Seal to 380-1882 Pressure Sensor Gp.
Assemble the oil pressure sensor to the engine block and tighten to 10 N·m (7 lb ft).
Adjust EMCP control panel settings as detailed below:
1. Connect Cat Electronic Technician (ET) to the EMCP.
2. From the menu bar select "Service" > "Configuration".
3. Within the Configuration Select: "Analog Input".
4. Change the analog input 1 configurable parameter "Maximum Data Range" in the EMCP to "600.000".

The new sensor is adaptable to and effective with the serial numbers that are listed in Table 2.
