Cylinders 1 Through 14
- Remove the heat shield for the cylinder being serviced.
- Remove five bolts (1) and the washers. Remove valve cover (2) .

- Remove shields (4), (5), and (6) .

- Remove shield (16) .

- Repeat Steps 2 and 3 in "Cylinders 1 Through 14" to remove the valve covers for cylinders 15 and 16.
Installation Procedure
- Install valve cover (2) in the reverse order of removal.
- Tighten bolts (1) to a torque of 28 ± 7 N·m (248 ± 62 lb in).
- Apply Tooling (A) to the hardware for the exhaust shields prior to installation.
