Exhaust Bypass - Inspect

  1. Remove the exhaust bypass valve.

    ------ WARNING! ------

    The exhaust bypass valve cover is under spring compression. To prevent personal injury, use caution when removing the cover.


  2. Disassemble the valve.

  3. Inspect the diaphragm . If the diaphragm is worn or cracked, replace the diaphragm.

  4. Inspect the valve stem and the valve guide. If the parts are excessively worn, replace the parts.

  5. Clean the breather.

  6. Assemble the valve.

  7. Install the valve.

  8. Refer to Special Instructions, REHS6590 for fuel setup instructions to tune settings.
