- Remove the exhaust bypass valve.
Show/hide table
The exhaust bypass valve cover is under spring compression. To prevent personal injury, use caution when removing the cover.
- Disassemble the valve.
- Inspect the diaphragm . If the diaphragm is worn or cracked, replace the diaphragm.
- Inspect the valve stem and the valve guide. If the parts are excessively worn, replace the parts.
- Clean the breather.
- Assemble the valve.
- Install the valve.
- Refer to Special Instructions, REHS6590 for fuel setup instructions to tune settings.
