- Verify safety label (A) is properly installed on water cannon (1).
Note: There are several specific safety messages on this machine. The exact location of the hazards and the description of the hazards are reviewed in this section. Become familiarized with all safety messages.
Note: Make sure that all of the safety messages are legible. Clean the safety messages or replace the safety messages if the words or the images become unreadable. When you clean the safety messages, use a cloth, water, and soap. Do not use solvent, gasoline, or other harsh chemicals to clean the safety messages. Solvents, gasoline, or harsh chemicals could loosen the adhesive that secures the safety message. Loose adhesive will allow the safety message to separate from the machine.
Note: Replace any safety message that is damaged, or missing. If a safety message is attached to a part that is replaced, install a safety message on the replacement part. Any Cat® dealer can provide new safety messages.
Show/hide tableIllustration 183 g03357515 - Verify the position of rotation and elevation stops (B) for the water cannon turret.

Determine if the electrical connections have been switched between spray heads.
- If any spray head opens when the spray head should be closed, the system is connected improperly. If any spray head remains closed when the spray head should open, the system is connected improperly. Troubleshoot the hydraulic lines in order to determine if the lines are reversed. Check the hydraulic line connections at the spray head and at the hydraulic manifold. If the hydraulic lines are connected correctly, troubleshoot the electrical connections on the solenoids in order to determine if the electrical connections are reversed.
Water Pump Fill Procedure

Once the water is activated, push the accelerator to the floor to achieve the target speed of 2000 rpm. Once the target speed is met, the light will turn green. Water pressure should automatically settle to a pressure of
551 kPa (80 psi) if the system is working correctly. The light will turn green. Select an individual spray head by pressing corresponding function key (F) below the head being calibrated. - When calibrating an individual spray head, adjust the head intensity until hydraulic pressure target light is solid green. If hydraulic pressure is low, increase the head intensity by pressing up arrow. If hydraulic pressure is high, decrease the head intensity value by pressing the down arrow. After adjusting the value for head intensity, press the "OK" button to accept the change. Check hydraulic pressure. If pressure is within 50 psi of the target pressure, the light will turn green. Continue adjusting head intensity until the light maintains green status a majority of the time.
