  1. Install the oil pan gasket.

    Note: Apply Tooling (D) to the puzzle joints and the T joints on the gasket. Apply between the cylinder block face, the front housing, and the rear housing.

  2. Attach Tooling (B) and a suitable lifting device onto engine oil pan (15). The weight of engine oil pan (15) is approximately 567 kg (1250 lb). Position engine oil pan (15) onto platform (16). Reach through the holes in platform (16) in order to install bolts (17).

  3. Attach Tooling (C) onto the engine. The weight of the engine is approximately 10343 kg (22802 lb). Remove the engine from Tooling (A).

  4. Lower the engine onto engine oil pan (15).

  5. Install bolts (14) on all sides of engine oil pan (15).

  6. Connect tube assembly (13).

  7. Connect hose assemblies (5) and (6) onto fuel filter housing (7).

  8. Install elbow (4) onto engine oil pump (1). Install bolts (2) and bolts (3).

  9. Fill the engine with oil. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Engine Oil and Filter - Change".

  10. Turn the fuel supply valve to the ON position.

  11. Turn the battery disconnect switch to the ON position.
