Start By:
- Remove the electronic unit injector.
- Remove the rocker shaft and pushrods.
- Drain the coolant from the cooling system into a suitable container for storage or for disposal. Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Cooling System Coolant - Change".

- Install Tooling (A) into the electronic unit injector sleeve.
- Remove the electronic unit injector sleeve.

- Thoroughly clean the bore in the cylinder for the electronic unit injector sleeve.

Illustration 2 g02643976 Show/hide tableIllustration 3 g01850908 - Install new O-ring seals (1) on electronic unit injector sleeve (2). Apply clean engine oil on O-ring seals (1). Apply a light coat of Tooling (B) to Area (X) and install.
- Install Tooling (A) into electronic unit injector sleeve (2). Hand tighten electronic unit injector sleeve (2) until electronic unit injector sleeve (2) is seated in the cylinder head. Tighten electronic unit injector sleeve (2) to a torque of
120 ± 10 N·m (89 ± 7 lb ft) . - Remove Tooling (A) from electronic unit injector sleeve (2).
- Fill the cooling system with coolant. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Cooling System Coolant - Change".
End By:
- Install the rocker shaft and pushrods.
- Install the electronic unit injector.
