附註如果冷卻系統加注了 Cat ELC（長效冷卻液），則可以選擇是否採集用於 1 級分析的冷卻液樣本。 以 Cat ELC 充填的冷卻系統必須在推薦的週期時採取冷卻液樣本 (Level 2)。
附註如果冷卻系統加注了 Cat ELC 以外的其他冷卻液，則應該採集用於 1 級分析的冷卻液樣本。 其他冷卻液包括下列類型的冷卻液：
- 滿足 Caterpillar 引擎冷卻液技術規格 -1 (Caterpillar EC-1) 的市售長效冷卻液
- Cat 柴油引擎防凍劑/冷卻液
- 市售重載冷卻液/防凍劑

隨時以指定的提示符號抽樣油料，並利用個別的指定提示符號抽樣冷卻液。 在兩種類型的樣本中採用相同的泵可能會影響已排除的樣本。 此污染會導致代理商和用戶進行錯誤的分析和不正確的解釋 |
附註1 級分析的結果可能表明有必要進行 2 級分析。
儘量在接近建議取樣週期的時間獲取冷卻液樣本。 為獲得最佳的 S·O·S 分析效果，必須建立前後一致的資料趨勢。 為了建立相關的歷史資料，要按均勻的時間間隔進行一致的取樣。 可從 Cat 代理商處獲得取樣用品。
為確保冷卻液正確取樣，請遵循以下準則：
- 開始取樣前，在取樣瓶標簽上填寫相關資訊。
- 將未用過的取樣瓶保存在塑料袋中。
- 從冷卻液取樣口直接採集冷卻液樣本。 您不應從其他位置取樣。
- 做好取樣準備之後，再取下空取樣瓶的瓶蓋。
- 為避免樣本被污染，取樣後應立即將樣本裝入郵用卷筒中。
- 切勿從膨脹瓶中取樣。
- 切勿從系統的排放口取樣。
提交樣本用於 1 級分析。
