The problem that is identified below does not have a known permanent solution. Until permanent solution is known, use the solution that is identified below.

Problem

The new 348-6657 Hose and the 348-7211 Hose called out in Engine News, SEBD9650 can deform and burst causing a seawater or coolant leak.

Solution

In order to reduce the risk of failure proactive updates to the older style 131-8279 Tube As , 193-2444 Tube As , or 239-9966 Tube As are not recommended. These tubes should only be replaced with the 348-6657 Hose or 348-7211 Hose as described in Engine News, SEBD9650 if there is an actual failure of the tube resulting in a leak.
