Failure to connect the unit to a suitable grounding electrode creates an electrical shock hazard. An electrical shock will result in serious personal injury or death. |
Personal protective equipment (PPE) suitable to the work being performed must be worn when performing maintenance on the UPS.
High voltage is present. Work on this equipment must be performed by authorized trained personnel. Personnel must be wearing Personal Protective Equipment that meets regulatory requirements to protect the body for the work that is being performed. Failure to use appropriate PPE to protect the body will result in serious personal injury or death. |
The power supply checks verify that the power supply for the logic and the inverter is functioning properly. The power supply for the logic consists of two inputs for AC power and one input for DC power.
Performing maintenance inspections with power supplied to the UPS may result in serious personal injury or death. When using an external maintenance bypass, the UPS can be fully de-energized. When using an internal maintenance bypass, the UPS is not fully de-energized. Refer to the Building System Schematic to ensure that all necessary precautions have been taken before performing any maintenance procedure. Use lock out and tag out procedures as required. |
The following checks will instruct you when to open and when to close the MAINS 1 (Q1) and the MAINS 2 (Q4S) input switches. Verify that the battery disconnects are OFF or open.
