向空燃混合器供应的燃油量由以下两个因素确定:

  • 调节器出口压力和空燃混合器空气进口压力之间的压差

  • 到调节器的主供气压力和满载空燃混合器进气压力间的压差。

请参考测试和调整, "燃气压力 - 检查和调整"中的高热值和低热值燃油图来确定空燃混合器的供气压差。 空燃混合器供气压差基于空燃混合器使用的节流孔和燃料的热值。

可使用调整螺母 (3) 来调整控制弹簧 (2) 的压力。 必要时,可以边设定边调整弹簧力,以符合空燃混合器类型和燃油能量值。

控制弹簧力下推到膜片 (10) 。 上推到膜片的出口 (5) 压力超出控制弹簧和进口 (6) 压力的组合力时,杆 (7) 将闭合,燃气不会流到出口。

下游需求增加时,膜片下的压力减少。 控制弹簧下推到膜片和操纵杆 (8) 。 杆移动,使燃气从进口流到出口。 腔中的燃气压力等于弹簧力时,杆停止打开。

下游需求减少时,膜片下的压力增加。 该压力客服控制弹簧力。 膜片和操纵杆提起,移动杆并限制燃气从进口流到出口。 腔中的燃气压力等于弹簧力时,杆停止闭合。

平衡管(图中未显示)是位于平衡管接头 (1) 和空燃混合器进气口间的管或软管。 平衡管将空燃混合器进气口与膜片顶部直接连接。 平衡管使空燃混合器可以通过调节器直接调整燃油需求。 这种直接连接使空燃混合器和调节器间的压差保持常量,不管供应到空燃混合器的实际压力为何。 平衡管可防止空燃混合气过稀或过浓。

对于没有平衡管的自然进气发动机,如果空气滤清器限制气流,则混合气会过浓。 但平衡管会将空燃混合器进口的真空连接到膜片上方的调节器。 真空使操纵杆提起并减少供应到空燃混合器的燃气流。使空燃比保持正确。 在没有平衡管的涡轮增压发动机上,增加的增压压力会使混合气过稀。 平衡管将多余的增压压力传输到膜片顶部的调节器。 增压压力使操纵杆下降并增加供应到空燃混合器的燃气流。使空燃比保持正确。
