(1) Cut to length of 175 mm (7.0 inch)
(2) Cut to length of 127 mm (5.0 inch)

Start By:

  1. Remove the hydraulic fan piston motor.

    Personal injury can result from being struck by parts propelled by a released spring force.

    Make sure to wear all necessary protective equipment.

    Follow the recommended procedure and use all recommended tooling to release the spring force.


  1. Remove bolts (1) and head (2) from housing (3).

  2. Remove port plate (4) from head (2).

  3. Remove O-ring seal (5).

  4. Install Tooling (A).

    Note: Tooling (A) will hold the rotating group together, while the rotating group is being removed from the pump housing.

  5. Use Tooling (B) to remove key (7).

  6. Use Tooling (C) to remove retaining ring (8).

  7. Use Tooling (D) to remove retaining ring (9).

  8. Remove cover (10) and the O-ring seal.

  9. Remove seal (11) from cover (10).

  10. Use Tooling (E) to remove the rotating group from the pump housing.

  11. Remove Tooling (A) and barrel (6) from the rotating group.

  12. Remove spring (12) and spacer (13) from barrel (6).

  13. Remove bolts (14), pin (15), pistons (16), and plate (17).

  14. Use Tooling (F) to remove retaining ring (18) and shim (19).

  15. Remove O-ring seal (23).

  16. Place shaft assembly (20) into a suitable press.

  17. Remove bearing (21), ring bearing (22), shim kit (24), the bearing cone, and bearing cup (25) from shaft assembly (20).

    Note: Bearing cone (25) will be destroyed when bearing (25) is separated from shaft assembly (20).

  18. Remove slipper (26) and spring (27).
