(5) Torque for the bolts ... 30 ± 5 N·m (266 ± 44 lb in)

(6) Thickness of four new friction discs and three new plates is 30.37 ± 0.91 mm (1.196 ± 0.036 inch):

Thickness of the friction disc ... 5.08 ± 0.13 mm (0.200 ± 0.005 inch)

155-3866 Plate

Thickness of the plate ... 3.35 ± 0.13 mm (0.132 ± 0.005 inch)

(7) Lubricate the O-ring seal lightly with the lubricant that is being sealed.

(8) Use the following procedure to tighten the 30 bolts:

1. Tighten bolt 1 through bolt 8 in the sequence that is shown in Illustration 1 to 120 ± 15 N·m (89 ± 11 lb ft).

2. Tighten remaining bolts to 120 ± 15 N·m (89 ± 11 lb ft).

3. Recheck the torque for all the bolts.

(9) Torque for the bolts ... 60 ± 7 N·m (44 ± 5 lb ft)

(10) 9M-8808 Spring

Length under first test force ... 15.52 mm (0.611 inch)

First test force ... 80.1 ± 2.2 N (18.0 ± 0.5 lb)
