Start By:
- Remove the aftercooler. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Aftercooler - Remove".

Keep all parts clean from contaminants. Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life. |
- Disconnect harness assemblies (1) from air inlet heater (3). Remove the air inlet heater solenoid from the engine.
- Remove hose assembly (2), if necessary.
- Remove air inlet heater (3).

Note: Ensure that Tooling (A) is installed in the cylinder head.

- Position air inlet heater (3) on Tooling (A).
- Install hose assembly (2), if necessary.
- Install the air inlet heater solenoid on the engine. Connect harness assemblies (1) to air inlet heater (3).
