Start By:

  1. Remove the aftercooler. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Aftercooler - Remove".


NOTICE

Keep all parts clean from contaminants.

Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.

    Note: Ensure that Tooling (A) is installed in the cylinder head.

  1. Disconnect harness assemblies (1) from air inlet heater (3). Remove the air inlet heater solenoid from the engine.

  2. Remove hose assembly (2), if necessary.

  3. Remove air inlet heater (3).

  1. Position air inlet heater (3) on Tooling (A).

  2. Install hose assembly (2), if necessary.

  3. Install the air inlet heater solenoid on the engine. Connect harness assemblies (1) to air inlet heater (3).

End By:

  1. Install the aftercooler. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Aftercooler - Install".
