The new VR3 Automatic Voltage Regulator is in production on the above generator set engines. The new VR3 Automatic Voltage Regulator is only used on generators with the following frame sizes: 363, 444, 448, 449, 586 and 588. Only external parts are serviced. See illustration and chart. This article precedes the next update of the Parts Book that will include these parts. Follow the troubleshooting procedures outlined in the above Service Manual.
