Description of Change: The Reference Article lists engine dipstick markings for various installation tilt angles of 3208 Marine Engines (1Z). Now, additional tilt angles for positive degrees (front of engine raised) are used. These additional angles and corresponding dipstick measurements are listed in the chart, as well as the angles and measurements from the Reference Article. Formerly, the maximum positive tilt angle listed was 12°.
The oil refill capacity has not changed from 15 liters (16 qt., 13.5 Imperial qt.) announced in the article.
NOTE: Write a note in the Reference Article referring to this later article. Also, refer to the Reference Guide and update the refill capacity (if not done previously) to 15 liters (16 qt., 13.5 Imperial qt.). This applies only to turbocharged engines (1Z).
Adaptable To: The new dipstick measurements for all the tilt angles are in the chart. The dipsticks in earlier 3208 Turbocharged Marine Engines (1Z1-Up) can be recalibrated for these additional tilt angles. See illustration. Scratch out the former marks. These measurements are for a 4N4542 Gauge (dipstick) with a 4N4475 Front Oil Pan Assembly and a 6N373 Oil Level Guide Tube.
