Be sure to check the inside of pistons for shipping plugs when installing new pistons or cylinder packs in 3600 Family of Engines. Some new pistons may have shipping plugs in the oil cooling supply and drain passages. See the illustration. If the plugs are not removed, the piston will overheat and seize.
