Piston Pump (Hydrostatic) - Disassemble
Start By:
- Drain the piston pump into a suitable container.
- Remove retaining ring (1), lip seal carrier (2), and O-ring seal, (3) from the piston pump.
- Remove lip seal (4) from lip seal carrier (2).
- Remove shaft (7) from the piston pump.
- Remove retaining ring (5) and roller bearing (6) from shaft (7).

- Remove bolts (10), solenoids (11), and O-ring seals (12) from pump control body (9).
- Remove bolts (13), solenoid (14), and O-ring seal (15) from pump control body (9).

- Remove feedback pin (18).
- Dowel pins (19) are a press fit and are to remain in the pump housing.

Make sure to wear all necessary protective equipment.
Follow the recommended procedure and use all recommended tooling to release the spring force.
- Remove bolts (22) and head (23).
- Remove valve plate (26) and pin (25) from head (23).
- Remove bearing (24) from head (23) if necessary.
- Remove gasket (27) and pins (28) from pump body (29).

- Remove bolts (31), retainers (32), servo piston caps (33), and O-ring seals (34) from pump body (29).

- Remove servo piston (35) from pump body (29).

- Remove slider block (38) from servo piston (35).

Illustration 11 g06008031 - Lift swashplate (40) out by grasping the swashplate pin. Bearings (39) will remain on swashplate (40).
- Remove bearings (39) from swashplate (40). Note the bearing orientation for reassembly.
