Problem

The secondary speed timing sensor has had vibration causing the connector to fatigue on the engine harness side.

Solution

To diagnose the problem, perform the steps prior to sensor replacement.

  • Check the harness connection.

  • Check the pins of the connector.

  • Check the wire tie that is holding the pig tail of the sensor, since the tie may be too tight.
