Piston Pump (Hydrostatic) - Assemble

Assembly Procedure

    Press lip seal (4) flush to surface (X) 0.12 ± -0.72 mm (0.005 ± -0.028 inch)

  1. Install lip seal (4) into seal carrier (2).

  2. Install roller bearing (6) and retaining ring (5) onto shaft (7).

  3. Install shaft (7) into pump body (29).

  4. Install O-ring seal (3), seal carrier (2), and retaining ring (1) into pump body (29).

  5. Position pump housing (29) as shown.

  6. Coat bearings (39) with clean hydraulic oil and install the bearings into pump housing (29). Fit the retaining pins into the holes in the pump housing.

    Note: If bearings (39) are reused, reinstall the bearings in the original orientation and position.

  7. Swing bearings (39) fully to each side to check for smooth operation.

  8. Install swashplate (40). Ensure retaining pins fit securely in swashplate.

  9. Install O-ring seal (37) and seal (36) onto servo piston (35).

  10. Install slider block (38) into servo piston (35).

  11. Install servo piston (35). Ensure that the swashplate pin fits properly in servo slider block (38).

  12. Lubricate new O-rings (34) and install on each servo cylinder (33).

  13. While holding the servo piston in place, thread servo piston caps (33) into pump body (29) until each servo piston cap contact the servo piston.

    Note: Do not compress servo piston springs.

  14. Install retainers (32). Install bolts (31). Torque bolts (31) to a torque of 14 ± 2 N·m (124 ± 17 lb in).

  15. Install cylinder block kit (30) into pump body (29). Use an O-ring seal to secure the pistons into the cylinder block during assembly.

  16. Install pins (28) and gasket (27) onto pump body (29).

  17. Press bearing (24) into head (23). Press in to obtain a shoulder height of (X). Dimension (X) is 2.1 ± 0.25 mm (0.083 ± 0.010 inch).

  18. Apply a liberal amount of assembly grease to the backside surface of the valve plate (26) to hold in place and position on endcap in original position . Install valve plate (26).

    Install head (23). Install bolts (22). Tighten bolts (22) to a torque of 110 N·m (81 lb ft)

  19. Install charge pressure relief valve (21) and O-ring seal (20). Tighten charge pressure relief valve (21) to a torque of 52 N·m (38 lb ft).

  20. Install dowels (19) if removed.

  21. Install feedback pin (18).

  22. Install orifices (17) if removed.

  23. Install solenoid (14), O-ring seal (15), and bolts (13). Tighten bolts (13) to at torque of 8 N·m (71 lb in).

  24. Install solenoids (11), O-ring seals (12), and bolts (10). Tighten bolts (10) to at torque of 8 N·m (71 lb in).

  25. Install gasket (16), pump control body (9), and bolts (8).
