The following list contains some of the functions of the display module.
- The diagnostic codes of the ECM systems are displayed.
- The settings for the ECM are displayed.
- The machine status parameters are shown in real time.
- The number of occurrences and the clock hour of the first and last occurrence are displayed for each of the events, active codes, and logged codes.
- The definition for each logged diagnostic code and each event is displayed.
During machine operation, if a problem is detected on the machine, a popup message will appear on the digital display window. The message displayed will have the following format:

Parameters Menu |
The Parameters menu will display the value of several sensors. This menu may be useful for troubleshooting purpose. Scroll down to navigate through the different systems monitored.
- From the Main menu, use the UP button (3) or the DOWN button (4) to highlight the "Service" button.
- Press the "OK" button (5) to view the Service menu.
- In the Service menu, press the UP button (3) or the DOWN button (4) to highlight "Parameters". Press the "OK" button.
- Use the UP button or the DOWN button to scroll through the parameters menu. Press the "OK" button to view a highlighted parameter in more detail.
- Exit the service mode by pressing the Main Menu button (1).

ECM Summary Menu |
The ECM Summary menu will display information for each ECM installed on the machine (software, ECM P/N).
- From the Main menu, use the UP button (3) or the DOWN button (4) to highlight the "Service" button.
- Press the "OK" button (5) to view the Service menu.
- In the Service menu, press the UP button (3) or the DOWN button (4) to highlight "ECM Summary". Press the "OK" button.
- Use the UP button or the DOWN button to scroll through the ECMs. Press the "OK" button to view an ECM in more detail.
- Exit the service mode by pressing the Main Menu button (1).

To enable the service mode for the monitoring system, enter a configurable Service Mode Enable Code. The service mode password on K series Track-Type Loader is 01234.

Service Configuration Menu |
This menu will allow access to the Service Configuration menu. The Service Configuration menu is protected by a password. Consult your Cat dealer to get the password.
Service Config
The Service configuration menu will appear only if the operator enters the Service mode password through the Service mode menu. Service Configuration allows access to advanced settings:
- Parking Brake Lockout: Allows the locking of the brakes for testing (locked or not locked).
- AESC Enable: Allows the engine to go back to low idle with Eco Mode if there is no operator command (Enable or Disable).
- AESC Delay Time: Controls the amount of time that elapses before the Automatic Engine Speed Control activates.
- Max Speed F/R: Allows the limiting of the maximum track speed in Forward and Reverse.
- Engine Idle Shutdown: Allows the stopping of the engine after a set amount of time at low idle (Enable or Disable).
- Engine Idle Shutdown Timer: Allows the setting of the amount of time at low idle before stopping the engine.
- Ripper Installation Status: Allows the activation of the ripper function (Installed or Not Installed).
- Loader Auxiliary Valve Installation: Allows the activation of the auxiliary valve (Installed or Not Installed).
- Lift Cylinder Snubbing: Allows the enabling of the lift cylinder end of stroke snubbing when raising the lift arm (Enable or Disable).
- Dump Stop Snubbing: Allows the enabling of the tilt cylinder end of stroke snubbing when dumping the bucket (Enable or Disable).
