Description of Change: An improved tube assembly is now used in the dust ejector group on certain D9T Track-Type Tractors. The improved tube assembly utilizes a bellows system that increases the lateral distance the tube assembly can move, preventing the tube assembly from cracking.
Adaptable To: The improved tube assembly is effective with the following machines:
- D9T (S/N: TWG609-UP)
- D9T (S/N: TWG1-608)

- Remove existing tube assembly (A) .

- Install tube assembly (1) .
Note: The bolts holding exhaust base assembly (B) to the hood may need to be loosened in order install tube assembly (1) .
Note: Install tube assembly (1) making sure not to compress or extend the bellows. The distance from the top of top flange (C) to the bottom of bottom flange (D) should be 193 ± 3 mm (7.60 ± 0.12 inch) (E) as shown in Illustration 3. Check dimension (E) around the circumference of the flanges, in 4 locations that are 90 degrees from each other.
