Oil Filter and Base (Power Train) - Remove and Install
Removal Procedure
- Drain the power train oil. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Transmission Oil - Change" for the correct draining and filling procedures.
- Open access panel (1). Remove door (2) .

- Remove filter housing (3) and the filter element.

- Remove filter element (4). Remove O-ring seals (5) .

- Remove bolts (6) and (7). Remove bracket (8) .

- Disconnect harness assemblies (10) and (12). Disconnect hose assemblies (11) .

- Remove bolts (9) and filter base (13) .
- Remove pressure switch (14) and temperature sensor (15) .

Installation Procedure
- Install filter base (13) and filter element (4) in the reverse order of removal.
- Tighten temperature sensor (15) to a torque of 20 ± 3 N·m (177 ± 27 lb in).
- Tighten pressure switch (14) to a torque of 35 ± 2 N·m (26 ± 2 lb ft).
