(1) Lubricate the threads and the washer face of the 144 bolts with 4C-5599 Anti-Seize Compound before assembly.
Use the following procedure to tighten the full nuts (2) :
- Tighten the full nuts of the diagonally opposite bolts simultaneously to 55 ± 5 N·m (41 ± 4 lb ft).
- Again, tighten the full nuts of the diagonally opposite bolts simultaneously to 55 ± 5 N·m (41 ± 4 lb ft).
(3) Lubricate the threads, the bearing surfaces, and the inside diameter of the four exhaust seal rings with 4C-5599 Anti-Seize Compound before assembly.
(4) Lubricate the clamping surface and the inside diameter of the two couplings with 4C-5599 Anti-Seize Compound before assembly.
(5) Lubricate the threads, the bearing surfaces, and the inside diameter of the four clamps with 4C-5599 Anti-Seize Compound before assembly.
(6) Lubricate the inside diameter and the outside diameter of the bellows with 4C-5599 Anti-Seize Compound before assembly.
(7) Lubricate the threads, the bearing surfaces, and the inside diameter of the four clamp assemblies with 4C-5599 Anti-Seize Compound before assembly.
(8) Lubricate the threads, the bearing surfaces, and the inside diameter of the four V-band clamps with 4C-5599 Anti-Seize Compound before assembly.
Note: Lubricate the threads of the four taperlock studs (9) with 4C-5599 Anti-Seize Compound before assembly.
(9) Torque for the four taperlock studs ... 35 ± 5 N·m (26 ± 4 lb ft)

(10) Lubricate the threads and the washer face of the six bolts with 4C-5599 Anti-Seize Compound before assembly.
Note: Lubricate the threads and the washer face of the four bolts (11) with 4C-5599 Anti-Seize Compound before assembly.
(11) Torque for the four bolts ... 55 ± 5 N·m (41 ± 4 lb ft)
