Steering Wheel - Remove and Install

Start By:
- Connect the steering frame lock.
- Remove horn button (1) from steering wheel (2). If necessary, use a screwdriver to pry off the horn button.

Note: Mark the position of lever (6) for assembly purposes.
- Remove nut (3), spacer (4), and lever (6).

Note: Mark the position of the steering wheel for assembly purposes.
- Use Tooling (A) to loosen steering wheel (2). Remove retaining nut (9).

- Disconnect harness assembly (10) and harness assembly (11).
- Remove steering wheel (2).

- Support steering wheel (2).
- Connect harness assembly (11) and harness assembly (10).

- Install retaining nut (9). The torque for retaining nut (9) is
50 ± 4 N·m (37 ± 3 lb ft) .Show/hide tableIllustration 9 g00842667 - Slide shroud (7) to the original position. Install bolts (8).

- Connect harness assembly (5) to horn button (1).
