Introduction
Do not perform any procedure in this Special Instruction until you read this information and you understand this information.
This Special Instruction describes the procedures that are required in order to install the Air To Air Aftercooler (ATAAC) onto 3512C and 3516C Generator Set Engines. The ATAAC in this Special Instruction was installed on a 3516C Generator Set Engine. Some part numbers may not be the same for other generator sets.
Installation of the Stub Shaft onto the Engine
The stub shaft is mounted onto the damper of the engine. Use the following procedure to mount the stub shaft. Do not install the stub shaft over the existing bolts.
- Remove the four bolts (2) that secure guard (1) to the engine.
