Hood - Remove and Install
Removal Procedure
- Remove cover (1) .

- Remove bolts (2). Repeat for opposite side.

- Remove clamp (3). Disconnect cable assembly (4) .

- Disconnect cable assembly (6). Disconnect harness assemblies (7). Loosen clamp (8). Disconnect hose (9).

- Disconnect harness assemblies (10) .

- Attach a suitable lifting device to hood (11). The combined weight of hood (11), the diesel particulate filter, and the air cleaner is 100 kg (220 lb).

- Remove bracket assembly (12). Remove bolts (13). Remove hood (11) .
Installation Procedure
- Install hood assembly (11) in the reverse order of removal.
- Torque for clamp (3) is 35 ± 2 N·m (29 ± 1.5 lb ft) with 75 rpm max wrench speed.
