Timing Adapter Available To Use With 6V3100 Timing Indicator Group{0781,1550}

Usage:

All Caterpillar Natural Gas Engines

A 6V9060 Spark Timing Adapter Group is now available to use with the 6V3100 Timing Indicator Group on all Caterpillar Natural Gas Engines. The adapter group includes a fiber optic cable, a signal receiver and a transmitter for input into the timing indicator. The timing indicator connects to the engine in the same manner as on a diesel engine, except the "Injection or Spark Transducer Input" is connected to the adapter group.

Components of 6V9060 Spark Timing Adapter Group.

Connect the adapter transmitter to the primary coil terminals (low voltage) for No. 1 cylinder. Dynamic timing is shown in the normal manner on the timing indicator.

NOTICE

The timing adapter will be damaged if connected to the secondary (high voltage) side of a coil.

The timing adapter can be used either on engines with individual coils for the secondary (high) voltage, or on engines with integral coils.

Special Instruction SEHS8580 is packaged with the 6V9060 Spark Timing Adapter Group.
